Power to Change Your Life.
One great blessing bestowed to the human race by God our creator is the power and ability to change our lives. Even though it does not always feel this way, the truth is you and I have the ability to change our lives. It is difficult to accept this especially when one is going through challenges when one is fighting an addiction or a habit when one is trying to improve themselves and keeps falling it can be difficult to believe and accept this truth. I agree that it is not easy but I will affirm that it is possible. Your life can change and my life can change if we can put to use the availed powers and potentials that are at our disposal.
I have seen and talked to many people who have changed their lives in many different ways. Some have changed their habits, others have changed their careers, and others have lived as failures and then changed to become successful and wealthy people. This power to change is not kept for a limited few No! It is available for all who want to change. Let me highlight again that yes there is a sense of hopelessness that comes along when one has been fighting something for a while, but if it takes longer and if it seems hard it does not mean it is impossible. If we keep working on it, it will work out.
The big question that I have heard many people ask so many times is “what do I do in order to change my life?”. Like every other area of life, it takes a combination of several elements to bring about a single outcome. It means that there are several components that we have to put together to realize a change in our lives. It is like baking a cake, what makes a delicious cake? Surely you can not say flour, salt, or baking powder makes a delicious cake. All these and some others not mentioned here are essential ingredients that make up a delicious cake. Every ingredient carry its own specific contribution that is unique to itself. It is the combination of all these ingredients intentionally and systematically that brings about a desired outcome. We can surely not major on one ingredient lest the end product is something else that is not edible.
There are several faculties or powers at our disposal that when put to use can bring tremendous results in our lives. These powers are the likes of the power of prayer, the power of a vision, and the power of diligence. If these forces and many others are intentionally and systematically deployed in one’s life a change is bound to happen. I strongly believe that as long as a person is still alive and can make a decision there is hope for their life to change completely. It begins with just a decision, once that is made then one begins to intentionally and systematically apply the available powers to their own advantage.
Take note, there are some who take interest in learning and studying these available powers that can change life just for the sake of knowing them. It is the application of the powers that brings the results. This generation knows a lot of things as it is rightfully called the Information Age, but the missing like is the willingness to apply the knowledge we have. Studying or knowing is not enough there has to be a willingness to apply what you know because that is where the miracle happens.
The starting place is you make a decision, make up your mind and resolve that you would like your life to change. Many times in the Bible when Jesus would be approached by people who wanted healings or miracles from Him, he would ask them if they really wanted what he could offer. The story in the book of John chapter five is one good example. When Jesus saw a man who had sat by the pool for a long time and had been in that condition for a long time he asked him in John 5:6 NIV“ When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him Do you want to get well?” What a question to ask! It is clear from this example that we can not assume that because someone has suffered for a long time they want to change, one has to make their own decision. Therefore make that resolve that you want to change. If we are going, to be honest enough everyone knows what area of their lives needs to change, make the decision and begin to make use of the provided powers right within you.
